Working at the other house.....

So Aaron got started on constructing the shed over the spring house......Jude decided he was going to help too!  He is definitely not afraid to get dirty!  These pictures are priceless....
"Here dad, let me help you get that measurement...."

While the guys did the dirty work, I got started trying out my hand at this "shabby chic" design.....here were my five dollar chairs....

after a coat or two of paint (one white, one robin egg blue)......

the white one finished.....love the distressed look!!  I was quite excited how they turned out....

my fancy mirror I got cheap....

after one coat of paint......

Project update....

This is the fence I recently put up myself at the other house....I was given this fencing by a dear friend of mine and it really made this property come alive...especially when you're driving by it!  We were really excited how good it turned out!

Aaron has recently uncovered the spring house! We are going to construct a shed/greenhouse like structure over top of it which will then have a water pump adjacent to it.....it will be perfect for watering plants and such.....

This was a neat picture I captured through the wood over top of it right now.....the stone structure is incredible and still fully in tact!!

Jude decided to do some exploring of his own.....

and boy did he LOVE the dirt.....he is definitely a boy!!!

by the end of the night was he incredibly dirty, but he had fun!!!

Married 8 years!!!

On August 14th, Aaron and I celebrated 8 years of marriage (hard to believe, right?)!  We had a lot to celebrate this year having our little man!  As many of you know, we waited so long to be given Jude, but we trusted in God's timing, and we couldn't be more blessed.....we pray there are more, but if Jude is all we are given, then we are still incredibly lucky!  He has brought so much joy into our lives with that smile of his!!!

August 2012

Over the years we have continued to work at our home.....here are a few fun shots...
can't live without them....(haha)

...our back porch....

...this became our new favorite place this summer....with the added rug and lantern, and of course Jude's swing.....we spent many, many evenings out here!!

...and of course a few shots from the flowerbeds...

...bumblebees on the Sedum....

...Sunflowers about to bloom!

The back patio...another favorite spot!!

Now for one of my new items for sale....vintage button hairpieces....they are soooo cute!  I may have to keep a few of them myself....the hardest part is finding the buttons!  Some of them would be great for a wedding, and yet many of them are great for everyday!! Only $3 each or two for $5.....remember I can ship or deliver (locally) if interested!

I have a few more pieces for sale!  Remember if you are interested in anything let me know.....I can ship (or deliver for those in the area)!  They make great gifts especially for anyone who enjoys antiques or vintage finds.....and remember, be creative!!!  They can be used for so many things.....candles, food, jewelry, soaps, etc....

A exquisite piece of white ironstone makes a very elegant platter......$12

These are two beautiful blue floral patterned dishes (have beautiful crazing....if you can see in the picture) nested upon two different style pedestals.....$25 for set or $14 each......

Probably one of my personal favorites.....I have two of these cream patterned plates with pink depression glass bases......the are great stacked together (as pictured below), or separate......I placed a small vase of flowers on the top as you can see......$14 each......

a small teal floral plate with gold edging......would be great for a cupcake or small guest soaps.....$8

A small off centered tier makes an excellent jewelry tray....keep your rings/earrings in a safe spot!  I absolutely love the beautiful floral pattern on this.....$12

Thanks for checking out my mom's shop....come back soon (she has lots more coming up!)!!

“Today the Lord said to me, Daughter, when you go to confession, to this fountain of My mercy, the Blood and Water which came forth from My heart always flows down upon your soul and ennobles it. Every time you go to confession, immerse yourself entirely in My mercy, with great trust, so that I may pour the bounty of My grace upon your soul. When you approach the confessional, know this, that I Myself am waiting there for you. I am only hidden by the priest, but I myself act in your soul. Here the misery of the soul meets the God of mercy. Tell souls that from this fount of mercy souls draw graces solely with the vessel of trust. If their trust is great, there is no limit to My generosity. The torrents of grace inundate humble souls. The proud remain always in poverty and misery, because My grace turns way from them to humble souls.”
