Well, I am trying to catch up a bit on my blog, so that I don't take 5 hours of your time like last time. Ha! I know the last post was quite extensive with pics from the holidays! It's hard not to take pictures of these two cuties....of course one is much easier to photograph (for now). The other one...well lets just say, he rarely sits still unless it's for a movie or show that he wants to watch! Camilla will be 6 months old in just a few days....how? No...seriously....how did 6 months fly by? Can someone please explain that to me? ha. I guess that's been the age old question of parents for centuries, right? Who doesn't want their babies to grow up, but it does (and unfortunately....we get older too.....but let's pretend we don't)......For now, let's enjoy the show.....the Jude and Camilla show....
Discovering how much fun it can be to slide down steps.....
...."and no, my jeans weren't like this from the start."
Trying to give me a smile (crazy guy)....
Gotta love him....of course I had to glue his seat down to the steps to get a picture...
And then I had to glue his head down....just kidding...
Here's my silly....energetic...full of life....Jude....
This little girl turned 5 months in January.....
Blue eyes....chubby cheeks (good for kissing).....baby Milla...
Even Jude was proud of his sister's 5 month milestone....he wanted to be right there with her....
She decided she was old enough to be trendy like the rest of us....and sport a scarf.....
How cute am I?
"Mom I know....I can barely believe I am this old. Of course putting me in a rocker, just screams old lady."
Really enjoying sitting at the table with us.....
So we decided to try some bananas for her at 5 months...our Jude was ready at 4 months and was so excited about food. Camilla...not so much. She wasn't too sure what to think of bananas. Maybe we will try at 6 months. :)
A dear friend of ours was in town for his son's wrestling tournament. Jeff and his family have been a part of my family since the time I was in junior high. He had the opportunity to meet Camlla. Jeff's daughter was our flower girl...and now she is graduating high school. (Does that make me feel a tad old?) lol.
What a gift :)
So these winter days can really become boring....trying to come up with things to keep Mr. Jude occupied. We had a science day the other week and he really loved it. Did a number of experiments and even got daddy involved once he got home! This first one was called magic milk and Jude just loved "mag milk" (as he called it). He kept saying "more mag milk mom"!
Enjoying the pretty colors and designs
Next a little food coloring, vinegar and baking soda can create fun for a little one.....
Did I really just say "little"?? This child is anything but little....lol
Miss Milla still enjoying the entertainment....
Next we talked about melting...so, I froze a few objects in ice and then he thawed them to get his toys out.....
Ok, so Milla...not so excited this time around. She decided to sleep in her chair...
Working hard on thawing that shark and penguin....
So serious......
"Well, it's about time, you finished.....what's next?"
"Ooh, lava lamp time. I am so glad I rested up for this." (What year is it again?)
Snow baby!
We finally made it out in the snow.....Milla had her first experience out there....mostly spent wrapped up in the garage out of the wind while Jude played!
Two snow babies!!!
"Hey has anyone seen my mower? Actually, I mean...has anyone seen the grass?" Of course being outside simply means we pull out all toys.....regardless of what season they are intended.
Being a man and shoveling the driveway.....lol
My snow girl....
And my snow guy.....
Just blessed to have these two....
Attempting a snow angel!
And we did it!
Not sure if this was Jude's version of curling?! lol
Finally mom....warmth!!! I can get my thumb now and it's not buried under a snowsuit!
Aaron tried to help Jude build a snowman after work....the snow just wasn't as good later in the day. It took some work on Dad's part....of course Jude helped by throwing snow on dad's back....
"Don't worry Dad, let me fill up my wheelbarrow and bring more snow...."
Ok, now we're talking....
More like our chiseled snow blob....but it worked....Jude appreciated his time with his daddy!
What blue eyes?
This little one loves to roll.....(and smile...in case you haven't noticed!)
So today while Jude napped, we did a little Valentines Day photo shoot....of course I want pics of them together, but figured I would start small! haha.
"I can discount my kisses to 20 cents due to the drool."
"Ok...no more drool...the sale is off...25 cents it is....and that's a deal....trust me."
"Hey, I got my foot mom....hope you got that on film."
"I may seem all girly on the outside, but I can work hard too." In case you didn't guess, this was an act of Jude....he thought it was funny, and she giggled and continued jumping! So apparently, she thought it was funny too!
"See I told you it was me under there."
Jude...always on the job site....keeping busy.....
Well, I may not have kept you as entertained as last time, but at least you didn't have to call off work the following day from being so tired from reading a blog. Of course, I am sure all of your bosses completely understood when you told him what blog you were checking out. lol...I thank you ....Jude and Camilla thank you for checking them out....
They certainly make me smile...hopefully they did the same for you ....lots of hugs and kisses sent to you from them to you! Jude is very regimented....he must and I mean MUST give two hugs and two (insert kissing sound here) kisses. Do not deviate from the norm. I tried to sneak a third kiss in there before bed the other night and he had to wipe it off (and somehow give it back to me).....and then we had to start over. He is all boy...but a lovable one for sure!
