So, we really are here....we didn't flee the country or get rid of our internet! (yet...haha) The summer has kept us busy, as it usually does, but maybe I say that about every season. It's hard to believe our summer is just about over...did it ever come? (well, today and yesterday were muggy enough....ok, fall I think we're ready for you!!) I am starting to think about mums and pumpkins...and of course Jude's 2nd birthday as well as birthday photo shoot! Two years old??!!! I can't believe it. What a little man he has become. He really has completed our home (hopefully there will be more to fully complete it, but if he is all we are blessed with, we are grateful!) We never imagined anyone could fill our hearts like he has.....
So, we have continued to work at the other house....this was the completed spring house with working water pump and a little landscaping....I think this house will eventually become Jude's playhouse if it hasn't become that already!
And here is the start of the patio/addition...it has made decent progress....You will have to wait until next blog to see more....lol~
JUDE and MACY
So, my dearest friend Holly came in with the girls to visit, and let me tell you....not sure who had more fun...us or the kids! Even brushing teeth became photo worthy...how cute are they???
JUDE and MAYA
Picnic time! Holly is expecting number 3 in October....I keep telling her it's going to be a boy!!! He/she will be here before we know it!!!
love her...
So we headed back down to Virginia Beach at the end of July....we decided to venture over to the aquarium with Jude one afternoon! He really loved seeing the fish!
Aaron and Jude climb into this bubble to see the Komodo dragon (pretty much the largest lizard ever!!)
"Hey Dad, check that out..."
Beautiful fish!
Alligator!!
Giant Sea Turtle!
This actually scared Jude....only when the turtle seemed to be coming right at him...lol
Mommy and Jude
Happy guy...even had his shark shirt on! How appropriate!
"Did you see that Mom?"
Touching a horseshoe crab!
A little dress up in mom's sandals back at the beach house...haha
Aaron sporting his fedora....
Beach time!!
Family pose...would you call it that? Maybe it was simply Mom and Jude jumping on daddy. haha.
Our friend the crab we found....doesn't he look like a professor?? lol
Homemade sliding board!
Wheeeeee!
Ok, how cute is this???
Melt my heart...
Playground fun at the beach!
Nice Jude, nice. (Let's only do this indoors, ok?) haha.
Yes, Jude you really are like a movie star!
reflection in a puddle...
So, Aaron picked up a new toy....an official surfboard!
Waiting on a wave.....
Just a few pieces of mine I am throwing in for you to see....it's been an exciting summer for my business! I had two articles written about me, so word is getting out! I am getting more items made for a wine festival I am participating in at the beginning of October....wish me luck!
A little shabby chic end table.....
And a vintage window chalkboard!
Ok, now the star of the show is back!
I made another trip home in August.....Holly, her mom and the kids met my mom, Jude and I at the park! It was a fabulous time.....
Holly's mom Cindy....Jude decided he wanted her to hold him!! So cute!
Nana and Jude play on the slide!
my "soul sista" lol
"Hey Mom, you mind? I am trying to eat, and I have no shirt on .....please put that camera away."
"Oh, what the heck. I know I'm cute....shoot away."
"Hey Nana, look at the camera...my mom is at it again!!"
"Ok, I guess I can spare a kiss."
How cool is he??? lol
"That's what I'm talking about."
One of my biggest hits.....sorry to randomly sneak this in...vintage door hardware turned into bracelets....these have been popular!!
So, we got to spend a little time with Uncle Justin on Labor Day which made for a special day!
Uncle Justin sure is a trooper....doing anything to make Jude happy!
best buddies....
Pool time!!!
"Hey Uncle J....get those balls would ya?"
And of course had to celebrate Memau's birthday!!
"Hey dad, just what do you think you are doing???? Lay off my corn."
This kid loves his corn!!! (Don't tell him he is going to have to wait until next summer to have more of this!!!)
