Well, for those of you that don't get to see facebook, I recently put some of my items at the store I am working at to sell!!  In one day, I sold both of the button bracelets I had there as well as some of my vintage hairpieces.  I wanted to share with you some more things I've been working on...some for the store and some for the other property we're working on!

Some old retro canisters I picked up...

and transformed!!

The vintage style rocker I picked up at goodwill!

This is now on sale at Ecokids (where I work).....

He works in quality control.....just testing it out!  (it might need more paint judging by his paintbrushes!)

Another Goodwill find.....folding seat/stool

For sale at Ecokids.....

Vintage button rings.....on sale at Ecokids as well

The button bracelet I sold at Ecokids.....

My first store display!  (and I am in the process of adding more!)

The other one I sold!

This is the Goodwill jewelry box  I found.....

Transformed...and this is now used as a display piece for my hairpieces...

Vintage hairpieces I did.....for sale at Ecokids

My newest creations....vintage skeleton key necklaces!  I made about three so far, so I'm hoping to put them for sale at the store as well, and hopefully make more!

My valentine (NOT for sale at Ecokids!!!)
Uncle Justin and Jude hanging out!

Our guy....he was the one that put his hat on sideways!!  Just trying to be cool I guess :)  haha

Goodbye!! Until next time....

Well, today was finally warm enough to go outside and try out the sled for the first time!!  It seems as if the wind is always blowing but not today!  Jude enjoyed his ride and I guess I got a little exercise in running and pulling him around the driveway!!!  He really hated the bundling up part, and I spared him the embarrassment   of posting that picture!  haha!

Precious face......my little eskimo!

We are well aware that we don't officially coordinate here but hey, it's about keeping warm, right?!

So, it is February (in case you forgot), and I figured I would try to take some Valentines' Day pictures...he gave me a bit of a challenge, but I think we captured a few really cute ones!

Will you be my Valentine?

"Hey mom, do you want to explain to me again what I'm doing in this wooden crate?"

He looks up to something here.....(probably about ready to throw the heart....that did happen...a few times, maybe)  haha!

One of my favorites....how could you resist a heart like his?

A little tidbit on St. Valentine (of whom the holiday is named after):

St. Valentine (Valentino) was a Roman priest who performed marriages in spite of Claudius II's law against such (Claudius believed that marriage was distracting to his soldiers, so outlawed it to them for a time).  "The idea of encouraging them to marry within the Christian church was what Valentine was about.  And he secretly married them because of the edict."
Valentine was eventually caught, imprisoned and tortured for performing marriage ceremonies against command of Emperor Claudius II.  There are legends surrounding Valentine's actions while in prison.  Valentine was martyred in A.D. 270 on the Flammian way, and at the site of his martyrdom, Julius I built a popular bascilica.

So, be sure to wish people, "Happy Saint Valentine's Day" rather than just "Happy Valentine's Day."  This will help bring the deeper meaning of the day into focus!!
