Well, in good old Johnstown it feels as if it has turned from summer to fall overnight!  It also feels as if Jude went from 9 months to 10 months overnight (which he probably did)!  I have already been starting to think about his first birthday which will be soon approaching!  Jude and I worked outside tonight cutting back plants and emptying planters....he of course made a beeline for the small patch of dirt he saw in the flowerbeds (leave it to him to find it)!  Needless to say, he definitely needed a bath when we got in!  I found tonight a great opportunity for some of those 10 month pictures.....here are some of my favorites:

What a little man he has become!

Those baby blues are something else...

"ok, mom...I think I've had enough...."

I love this one...

So the spring house is taking shape....the windows have been installed and the roof line is set!  Not too long before the siding will be going up!

...and this last picture was taken today after Aaron did some more framing around the windows!  It's exciting to see the progress!  Hopefully by next week the siding will be done!

Jude really loves playing here....

So, today was a busy day....we had lunch with my grandparents and Jude's great-grandparents, which was really nice.  Jude really enjoyed the small tastes of pap's soup he got at the restaurant (sure beat the homemade green beans I had for him, but he still ate them...he's such a great eater!!)  I took a few pictures of the three of them when we got back to the house.....needless to say, he was soooo ready for a nap!!

Then, when I finally got him down for a nap....the fall decorations came out!  (it might seem a bit early, but I had to take advantage of the day!)  Not to mention, all the fall craft shows start this weekend, so after Saturday I will be ready for pumpkins and scarecrows.....

one of my favorite pumpkin guys lounging on the rocker....

and a cute acorn made by a dear friend of mine....

Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year.....

So soon after Jude woke up, a little someone decided to help....
"I've got this pumpkin mom....where should I put it?  Do you want me to just throw it around on the floor, because I can definitely do that?!"

..."and this wooden sign, I know just where to put it...."  (usually his favorite place to put anything these days is down the steps.....just sits at the top and watches it roll down the steps....an orange, hair spray, lip gloss, toys, magnets....you name it, he's thrown it...)  But how can you get mad at that face?

Happy Fall everyone!!

Well, it's hard to believe that summer has come and gone and fall is just around the corner!  With that, it brings some of my favorite things.....apple cider, pumpkins, fall leaves, but more importantly....Jude's first birthday!  Where did that year go?!  I can't believe he's approaching 10 months this month......what a fun year it has been having him in our lives!  I haven't had a chance to put a new post on here in a few days (maybe a week or so....but who's counting!?), so I wanted to show everyone what we've been doing....

This was a cheap mirror I picked up - what fabulous detailing it has.....

....after a coat or two of paint....and a little distressing....

this is how it turned out!  I was really pleased with it (Jude on the other hand is not so sure)...haha (disregard the background as the inside of this house has not been started....YET!)

This was an awesome chair I picked up at a thrift shop for $9.99...I plan on eventually having it reupholstered, painting the wood white and distressing it slightly...what a great find!!

This was a bed that we got free....so I'm in the process of giving it a shabby chic patina...this is the start of it....

An ugly old picture (with a great frame that was gold)....($3.99)

....becomes a vintage chalkboard....

...oh, and my sunflowers bloomed....now I am in the process of drying a few of them...they were so beautiful!

Labor Day came and went....Nana and Pappy got a chance to see Jude...

....and if you look closely here, Jude is showing off his first tooth (and that's right, it's in the front)!  He is also getting one on the bottom now.... (he is also showing off his belly, but hey he's allowed!)

He's changing so much.....he's already able to walk with his walker a little bit....we're figuring it won't be long until he's walking without it!

...he's doing pretty well at picking up food and feeding himself now.....

...and hey look, what a kid...he's cleaning up after himself.....hahaha!

On the other side of things keeping me busy...here is a pumpkin style 6" flowerpot for sale.....would be great with a mum inside!  ($14)

...and one of my newer creations...vintage plant/herb markers made from old spoons.....

$5 each....

...and finally my square flowerpot with a flower on one side (I will get shots of the other sides later....)...this one is almost done....just need to put the sealer on it!  ($14)

and finally....here is a glimpse of the spring house Aaron is working on.....I am a little behind in the pictures as it already has three walls up!  It's coming along well!
